Same time next year?

I enjoyed my third of a century party last year (pictures here). I've been thinking about doing it again. Hopefully this time we can get the barbecue to work. The nearest weekend to May 11th could become my official birthday, one of the first big barbecues of summer.

I'll be buying a barbie and sending out invitations soon.

Cubicle Pirate

Download files on company time and bandwidth? No, I never did that. Never. Not once. Nuh Huh.

And I certainly never shared any dirty stuff.

That was John's job.

Because if they think too much their brains overheat

US Government websites are deleting or diluting information about women's issues. The subjects buried range from health to wealth and almost certainly satisfy some political agenda.

Xtreme Indoors

THE world's first indoor extreme sports adventure centre could be built in Manchester. Which would be cool. But we were promised a snowdome and that never materialised, so I'm not holding my breath.

(Is holding your breath an extreme sport? There could be a special section of the X Games where you scored more depending upon how purple your face went before you had to admit defeat.)

The joys of spring

Some traditions should be encouraged. Four ageing miscreants used a helicopter to kidnap a maypole from the top of Germany's highest alp and are demanding train tickets, sandwiches and 'an undisclosed amount of beer' for its return.

Photo Friday

This week's theme is Natural. I've got a few flower pictures, so here's the most recent.

As always you can cast a noteworthy vote for me in last week's category (Junk).

There's photo related merchandise in the shop.

Yet More Yeti

The Yeti, the Penguin and now the Albatross (with an added measure of kangaroos for scoring.)

Speed

It's not quite a render farm, more of a render allotment, but Daz's computer is significantly faster than mine. It just took less than three hours to do this image, which my PC needed seven plus for. If I set another one off (without trees, which are a pain in the arse for calculations) now, it should be finished before he gets home.
