Scientists have mapped and measured Britain’s tidal “bounce”, the phenomenon whereby the land moves up and down due to the weight of ocean water on the continental shelf.

Heroes, and hero worship, by their very nature are unnecessary (and potentially harmful)in a stable society.

Pottered around the Northern Quarter yesterday, getting pictures for my next project. It’s tentatively titled Written on the Walls, until I can think of a better name, and is a collection of shots of stuff painted and stuck on walls- both graffiti and commercial art. One sample image and a couple of others I took on my rounds.

Introducing the newest branch of Spinneyhead. A sort of super special, extra geeky shop. Only one product there at the moment, but there are more to come.

The argument against extreme weather as evidence of global warming is that we’ve had floods before. A fair enough point, but they are becoming more regular as the system heats up, and thousands of small pointers tell us the scientists are right.
