Does exactly what it says in the title. Get basic line art, the author likes to think of it as finished pencils rather than full inks, with Poser and Photoshop.

Jean D'Arc

Apparently the Joan of Arc tutorial is one of the most famous on the web. 80 pages of modelling and texturing advice for 3DS MAX, but BlenderNation reckon most of it's good for other packages.

BlenderNation also has a bumper selection of links to textures and reference pictures.
